Luzon arc Cu-Au porphyries
William is documenting the magmatic evolution in the Luzon arc (Philippines) through compositional variation of zircon, amphibole and Fe-Ti oxides. He is using zircon thermobarometry to identify fertile intrusions for porphyry Cu ± Au mineralisation.
William obtained his BSc Hon. from uOttawa in 2020, before starting his MSc project with Keiko Hattori as a CREATE trainee. During his undergrad, he worked as a Junior Geologist for Fireweed Zinc in Macmillan Pass, and was awarded a SEG Undergraduate Scholarship and a Merit Scholarship by the University of Ottawa.
