
iMAGE-CREATE and OCGC host a virtual booth at PDAC 2021
The Ottawa Carleton Geoscience Centre, in association with iMAGE-CREATE hosted a virtual booth at the Prospectors and Developers Conference (PDAC) from the 8th to the 11th of March.
Established in 1982, OCGC is one of the largest graduate teaching and research institutes of Earth Sciences in Canada, and represents the combined expertise of the Departments of Earth Sciences at Carleton University and University of Ottawa. The Centre offers programs leading to M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees with emphasis in environmental geoscience, isotope geochemistry, petrology, geomathematics / computing; mineral and petroleum resource geology, sedimentary systems and basin analysis, tectonics, geodynamics, seismic engineering and seismology and physical geography. iMAGE-CREATE is a new NSERC Collaborative Research and Training Experience project in Marine Geodynamics and Georesources (iMAGE). It is a platform for training in the field of solid earth geosciences that brings together land-based geologists and marine scientists working on the structure of the Deep Earth and its contained resources – knowledge that is urgently needed to access tomorrow’s energy and raw materials.
