Magmatism Associated with Epithermal Deposits
Catherine is investigating magmatism associated with low sulphidation epithermal gold mineralization in Southern Japan. She is evaluating parental magmas of igneous rocks and the relationship with mineralization.
Catherine graduated with her BSc Hon. from uOttawa in 2022, before starting her MSc project with Keiko Hattori as a CREATE trainee. She worked as an assistant geological analyst with the Government of Nunavut throughout her undergrad and was awarded several recognitions including W.H. Collins Memorial Scholarship in Earth Sciences, Technical Professional Studies Scholarship, NWT and NU Assoc. of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists memorial scholarship and SEG Undergraduate scholarship.
