The co-PIs and collaborators have worked extensively with each other and have co-supervised graduate students on CRD Projects, government geoscience programs (GEM, TGI), and in new projects such as Metal Earth. The team includes 3 award-winning economic geologists, Canada’s top seismologists, leading petrologists, and three new junior faculty. Three are FRSCs and four hold research chairs, including a University Chair, two industrial chairs, and two CRCs. Seven hold appointments as adjuncts at other universities that are part of the CREATE. Several of the PIs hold large CFI Awards and have built state-of-the-art analytical laboratories. In total, the PIs have published over 470 high-ranking peer-reviewed papers and trained >300 HQP. In the last 6 years, they have supervised 54 PhDs and 98 MSc students.
