Ocean Networks Canada (oceannetworks.ca) offers awards to graduate students enrolled in a Canadian university. We would like you to consider this opportunity for one or more of your talented graduate students.
The Roy Hyndman Ocean Observing Award will support up to two graduate students in advancing their research using data from Ocean Networks Canada (ONC). The award provides $20,000 and the opportunity to work with world-leading ocean technologies. The work is expected to be performed remotely, but awardees are expected to visit ONC in-person at least once for initial coordination of the project.
Applicants must:
- be enrolled in a Canadian university
- be pursuing graduate studies, either full-time or part-time in a field of study that uses ocean observing data and/or technology
- agree to use the awarded funds for advancing their graduate research
