Paid OFI Industry Internship with COVE

The Ocean Frontier Institute has collaborated with COVE, the Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship, to match outstanding undergraduate and graduate students with full-time, paid, sixteen-week summer internships with innovative ocean technology companies located at COVE and beyond.
Your participation in the industry internship will give you the opportunity to expand the impact of your research and experience through a commercial outlet, achieve diverse work and global networking experiences, and get a real-world sense for career opportunities outside of academia.
Ocean technology companies are looking for motivated and talented individuals with an interest in expanding and innovating within the ocean sector. You will be matched with an ocean tech company and will be working on a core project for their business. Projects are interdisciplinary and students will be collaborating closely with professionals, additional mentors, and other students from different disciplines. Interns will meet, network, and build relationships with the other interns and companies in the program and benefit from the added support, mentorship and professional development provided by COVE.
Applications are eligible from any student at an OFI-partner university (including those outside of Nova Scotia). Students will be matched with companies located at COVE as well as other ocean companies outside of the COVE cluster. The majority of assignments are anticipated to facilitate work at the company site. You are encouraged to communicate with COVE if you are interested in an internship placement but are not able to work on site.
