The SEG Stewart R. Wallace Fund
Student Chapter Grants for Field-Based Education
Stewart R. Wallace was a renowned exploration geologist whose discoveries included the Cereso Ridge molybdenum deposit at the Climax and Henderson mines in Colorado, USA. Through his legacy, funds are available via the Stewart R. Wallace Fund (SRW). Active SEG Student Chapters may submit a request for funding of field-based educational activities. Chapters who have previously unused SRW funds are not eligible.

Chapters selected to receive funding are, upon completion of the funded activity, required to submit a detailed report outlining use of funds; a brief summary with expense report should be included with the next Annual Report. Chapters that are awarded SRW funds are required to submit changes for approval to the Student Affairs Committee (SAC) prior to reallocating funding. If you are no longer on your SEG Student Chapter’s Executive Committee, please forward this email to your current SEG Student Chapter President.
