
GOOD Meeting 2022

This year, organizers of the annual GOOD meeting invite young researchers in the field of ore deposit geology to University of Potsdam from October 5-6. The annual conference aims to connect young professionals including BSc, MSc, Ph.D. students and early career Postdoc scientists from all disciplines in ore deposit geology. All participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their research or previous work with an audience of the same level. The plenary speaker will be Philipp Brandl (GEOMAR). Key Dates
- Registration and abstract deadline: September 30, 2022
- Ice breaker: October 5, 2022 during and after the poster session (Campus Golm, House 29, in front of the meeting room 0.25/0.26)
- Start and welcome note: October 5, 2022, ca. 13:00 (detailed program will be provided)
- BGR Spandau, Collection visit: October 6, 2022, ca. 13:00 (the number of participants is limited)
Registration and Abstract
The conference is, in general, free of charge. Costs for a printed copy of the abstract volume and drinks during the Ice-breaker party can be paid individually on-site. Students who are members of the DMG and not based in Potsdam may be eligible for a EUR 50 travel grant. The registration form and the abstract template can be found in the attachments. Further information on abstract guidelines can be found in the template itself. Please send your completed registration form and abstract to korges@uni-potsdam.de (abstract deadline see above). Please make sure you indicate if you want to join the visit of the BGR collection in Berlin Spandau.
Presentation Format
The organizers invite submissions of abstracts for oral or poster presentations. You can indicate your preferred presentation format in the registration form.
Oral Presentations: 15 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions
Poster Presentations: Posters are on display for the full length of the conference. Please attend your poster during the poster sessions. The size of each poster must not exceed A0 portrait format (84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high).
