Register for the SMART Summer School 2021 – Understanding marine hydrogeology through groundwater modelling now!
During the first part of the SMART Summer School 2021 you will gain first-hand experience on groundwater modeling and multi-phase reactive transport in subsurface, taught by leading experts in computational hydro-geology.
Target group: The course is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from hydrology, geology, environmental sciences, marine geophysics, and related backgrounds. Ideally, the participants should have an interest in computational hydro-geology and reactive transport phenomena. The course is designed to be at an ‘introductory level’, and therefore, prior background in mathematical modeling is not necessary. However, some basic knowledge of programming (ideally in C++) will be an advantage.
The total number of participants is limited to 20. If the number of applicants exceeds 20, the selection will be based on the evaluation of the applicants CV and motivation letter.
Location: The course will be online. Further instructions on how to join the online course will be given to the participants later on.
Registration: You can register securely by clicking the Registration tab and completing the form. Please include your name, email address and your intent to register for the course. You will then receive instructions by email on how to send your short CV and motivation letter (as a single pdf file) for review by the SMART team members. Please limit your CV to no more than 1 page and your motivation letter to no more than 300 words. Participants will be informed about their admission no later than 15 June 2021.
Fee: The online course is free.
